Recently, our year 2 children enjoyed an exciting trip to Leeds Central Library, where they took part in a Story Explorers workshop. The children loved exploring the library on a guided tour with a librarian and learning how to find books using the alphabet and the author’s last name. They also enjoyed listening to stories together and making their own crafts inspired by what they had read. Mya said, “We did some crafting and we made an octopus after reading a book about under the sea.” Bobby added, “We liked the books we read because some of them rhymed and it made me laugh.” Logan remembered, “Joining the library is free and you can borrow up to twenty books and keep them for up to three weeks.”
